Wind River Troutfitters – Fishing Reports
Green River – Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge
Spring is here on the Green! There is some action to be had and the fishing is starting to pick up, however, it will be short lived as the snow pack in the high country is big – real big and flows will definitely start to increase in mid to late May. However, until that time the fishing should steadily get better. Early morning top water action, mid day pulling streamers and late afternoon top water is the ticket right now!
Bighorn River – Thermopolis
The Horn is fishing good but the Browns are still not showing themselves very often. We are seeing some Baetis and midge activity on top but consistent action means going deep. Our guides know the patterns that the Rainbows like so give us a call to book your trip today.
Local Waters – Lander
Water flows right now are variable but the action is consistently getting better with each passing day. Some of the local waters, such as the Little Popo Agie, have seen some good hatches of baetis and small mayflies, while those anglers nymphing are producing the biggest fish. Stoneflies, Green Rock Worms and Bead Head Hares Ears are all working well.
